Poland lags behind on EU ban on plastic food packaging chemicals
An EU directive requiring a ban on harmful substances in food packaging has not yet been transposed into Polish law. Without a national act, the EU ban will remain unenforceable in Poland. A draft prepared by the Ministry of Climate is reportedly a bone of contention within the coalition government, stalling its adoption.
