France wildfires: 250,000 evacuated, Polish resident fights blaze at Cap Ferret

France is battling massive wildfires in the Gironde and Landes regions, with 250,000 people already evacuated. A Polish resident named Paweł, living in Arcachon, is taking part in the firefighting operation on the Cap Ferret peninsula. He told TVN24 that the intense heat above the fire causes much of the water dropped by aircraft to evaporate before reaching the flames.
