Ukraine and Europe developing Freja missile defence system, prototype due in 2027

Ukraine wants a prototype of the European ballistic-missile defence system called Freja ready in the first half of 2027, Reuters reported, citing a senior Ukrainian official. The system is intended as a European equivalent of the Patriot missile defence battery and is being developed in cooperation with European partners.
