Capcom plans to release a new Resident Evil game every year

Capcom wants to release a new Resident Evil title every year, following the model of annual franchises like EA Sports FC and Call of Duty. Since full new entries take considerable time to develop, the studio plans to fill the schedule with remakes of earlier games in the series.
