Six human skeletons found at Wolf's Lair — hands and feet missing
The Gdańsk-based Latebra Foundation discovered six human skeletons, including children, beneath the floor of Hermann Göring's house at the Wolf's Lair — Hitler's wartime headquarters from 1941 to 1944. The remains lay just 20 cm underground and were missing hands and feet. In July 2026, archaeologists from the Polish Academy of Sciences began excavations to identify the victims and determine whether more remains are present.
