Protesters challenge Queensland ban on 'from the river to the sea' in high court
Seven pro-Palestine protesters have filed a high court lawsuit challenging a Queensland law banning the slogan "from the river to the sea" and the phrase "globalise the intifada". The laws were passed by the state's Liberal National Party government following December's Bondi terrorist attack. The plaintiffs argue the ban is an unconstitutional, content-based restriction on free speech that specifically targets the pro-Palestine movement.
