Nawrocki's spokesman: ETS referendum idea is not a signal of EU exit

Rafał Leśkiewicz, spokesman for President Nawrocki, dismissed on RMF FM the claim that a proposed referendum on the EU Emissions Trading System (ETS) would signal Poland's exit from the European Union. One interlocutor retorted: "I haven't heard bigger nonsense." Leśkiewicz argued the goal is to find legal mechanisms to limit Poland's "gigantic spending" on ETS financing.
