Venice ends entry fee pilot – over €5 million collected

Venice's 60-day pilot programme charging tourists to enter the historic city centre ended on Sunday 26 July, having launched on 3 April and covering mainly weekends and public holidays. The scheme raised over €5 million for the city's budget. City authorities confirmed the end of the pilot.
