Polish minister: Lewica will block any raise in the retirement age

Poland's Minister of Family, Labour and Social Policy Agnieszka Dziemianowicz-Bąk declared that as long as Lewica remains in government, the retirement age will not be raised. She condemned as "cruel" and scandalous the idea of tying women's retirement age to the number of children they have. Her statement came amid an ongoing coalition dispute over the shape of Poland's pension system.
