Poles ditch satellite TV as cable operators take over the market

The number of Polish households using satellite television is shrinking steadily, with cable operators emerging as the main winners. Free-to-air terrestrial TV is also losing viewers, but at a slower pace. Paradoxically, cable providers owe much of their success to free national channels, without which their audience would be far smaller.
