Iran uses Houthis to threaten global oil supply via Red Sea

Yemen's Houthi militants have resumed attacks on tankers in the Red Sea, aiming to close the strategically vital Bab al-Mandab Strait. Their primary target is Saudi Arabia, while Asian countries dependent on oil deliveries through this route stand to suffer the most. Iran is using the Houthis as a geopolitical pressure tool, raising the spectre of a new oil crisis.
