Australia Tests Nationwide AusAlert Emergency Siren on All Phones at 2pm AEST July 27

At 2pm AEST on Monday 27 July, virtually every compatible mobile phone, smartwatch and tablet in Australia will sound an emergency siren as part of the first nationwide test of the new AusAlert warning system. The alert cannot be silenced even on "do not disturb" mode. Domestic violence advocates have issued guidance for users of safe phones on how to disable the notification.
