Paramount and Warner Bros halt $110bn merger pending court ruling

Hollywood studios Paramount and Warner Bros Discovery have paused their proposed $110 billion merger following a legal challenge. The two companies will remain entirely separate, competing operations until a judge delivers a final verdict or until 1 June 2027 at the latest.
