Typhoon Noul hits southern China — over 800,000 evacuated in Guangdong
Typhoon Noul, the strongest typhoon of the year, struck China's southern Guangdong province on Sunday, bringing winds of 162 km/h and heavy rainfall. Transport was paralysed and over 800,000 residents were evacuated as a precaution. Local media described it as the most powerful typhoon to hit the region this year.
