Bleecker Street's Hadestown: The Musical debuted with $9.7 million on 1,949 screens, making it the second-biggest opening ever for a live show capture behind Hamilton. Due to extraordinary demand, distributor Crosswalk and partner LD Entertainment extended the initially planned five-day run. The film landed at number four on the specialty box office chart.
