US Citizen Charged for Wiping Phone at Border During Seizure Attempt
US citizen Sam Tunick has been charged by federal prosecutors for allegedly providing a "duress password" that wiped his phone when agents tried to seize it at Atlanta's Hartsfield-Jackson Airport on January 24th, 2025. Agents detained Tunick in connection with suspected child exploitation images. His lawyers have filed a motion challenging the prosecution.
