Raków Częstochowa lost 1-2 at home to Wisła Płock in the opening round of the Ekstraklasa season. As in their Thursday Europa Conference League qualifier against Valletta FC, Raków trailed 0-1 at half-time — but this time could not turn the result around. The club had beaten Valletta to progress in European competition earlier in the week.
