Lidl Introduces European Payment Method Wero at German Stores
Lidl has introduced the European payment method Wero at its stores in Germany, expanding a homegrown alternative to non-European card payment systems. Wero is backed by European banks and financial institutions as part of efforts to build payment independence for the continent. Lidl is among the first major retailers to implement the method in Germany.
