CFTC issues second warning to prediction markets over template event certifications

The US Commodity Futures Trading Commission (CFTC) has issued its second warning this year to prediction markets, telling them to stop filing overly broad, template-style certifications for events contracts. The regulator called the practice unacceptable and urged platforms to comply. A previous warning earlier in the year apparently failed to produce the desired change in behaviour.
