BitMart shuts down crypto exchange — trading ends 26 August, BMX token crashes

Crypto exchange BitMart announced it is shutting down operations. From 26 July at 3:30 a.m. Polish time, new account registration, deposits and position opening were halted; trading will end on 26 August and the final closure is set for 31 January 2027. The platform's BMX token, which offered trading-fee discounts, crashed within hours of the announcement. BitMart is the 99th crypto project to disappear from the market since January.
