Australian tribunal: Israelis fearing IDF war crimes orders in Gaza can seek protection visas
Australia's Administrative Review Tribunal has granted three Israeli siblings the right to reapply for protection visas, finding they had a genuine fear of persecution for refusing IDF conscription. The tribunal concluded they feared being forced to break international humanitarian law in Gaza, and that the imprisonment they could face in Israel as conscientious objectors would amount to persecution.
