Rick Moranis returns as Lord Helmet at San Diego Comic-Con for Spaceballs 2
A Spaceballs sequel panel at San Diego Comic-Con featured the return of Rick Moranis, who had largely withdrawn from public life, reprising his role as Lord Helmet to an enthusiastic crowd. Josh Gad, who co-wrote the film and also acts in it, revealed the project grew out of earlier work on "Shrunk," a sequel to another Moranis film. Also on stage were Daphne Zuniga (Princess Vespa), director Josh Greenbaum, and actors Keke Palmer and Lewis Pullman.
