CFTC warns prediction markets against self-certifying event contracts without proper review

The Commodity Futures Trading Commission has again issued an advisory warning prediction market firms against using a cookie-cutter self-certification process when launching new event contracts. The regulator signals that firms have been cutting corners on required standards. This is at least the second such advisory CFTC has issued on the matter.
