Eastern border councils in Poland can write off up to 40% of defence fund loans

Local governments in eastern Poland covered by the "Tarcza Wschód" (Eastern Shield) programme will be able to write off up to 40% of loans taken from the Security and Defence Fund (FBiO), BGK board member Jakub Jaworowski announced on Wednesday. Other local authorities across Poland are eligible for smaller write-offs. The scheme is designed to support border municipalities and counties in financing defence-related investments.
