France deploys military A400M cargo plane to fight wildfires

Wildfires burning out of control in France have forced more than 300,000 people to evacuate. Authorities deployed a military Airbus A400M cargo aircraft converted for firefighting, dropping ochre-coloured fire retardant over threatened woodlands in southwest France. The blazes are advancing unpredictably, overwhelming fire crews on the ground.
