Fajdek beats Nowicki at Polish Championships in Białystok with throw of around 82 m

The Polish Athletics Championships in Białystok featured a tense hammer throw duel between Paweł Fajdek and Wojciech Nowicki. After two rounds they were separated by just 35 cm. Fajdek, who had been ill and missed a week of training earlier in July, pulled clear in the third round — a strong statement ahead of the upcoming European Championships in Birmingham.
