Entire village of Ostaszów listed as heritage site — residents furious
The village of Ostaszów in Lower Silesia has been entered in its entirety into the heritage register by a preservation official who called it an "exceptional architectural gem." Residents are outraged, fearing an investment freeze as any building work will now require conservation approval. Villagers say they do not want to become a "dead exhibit" and are planning a protest.
