ALMA telescope's millimetre waves open new frontier in SETI search

Astronomers searching for signs of extraterrestrial life are increasingly turning to the archives of the ALMA radio telescope. Rather than focusing on traditional radio frequencies, they are examining higher millimetre-wave frequencies that have rarely been used in such searches before. The approach could significantly broaden the scope of SETI investigations.
