Entire Polish village listed as heritage site — residents revolt

The village of Ostaszów in Lower Silesia has been entered in full into the heritage register by the regional conservation authority. Residents are strongly opposed to the decision, arguing it has paralysed investment and development in their village. They have announced they will appeal the ruling.
