Huawei removal from Europe could cost €40 billion — four times EU's own estimate

The GSMA trade body estimates that replacing Huawei and ZTE equipment across European telecoms networks will cost €30–40 billion — roughly four times higher than the European Commission's own estimate of €10–13 billion. The Commission had projected annual costs of €3.4–4.3 billion over three years. Experts warn that reduced competition following the removal of Chinese vendors will push telecom equipment prices significantly higher.
