Tom Hardy ’s name has been all over the internet the last few months after reports surfaced online that he had been fired from MobLand after a rift formed between him and one of the show’s leading producers. New reports have since come out confirming that these tensions have been smoothed over , and that Hardy will indeed be asked back should MobLand be renewed for Season 3. Season 2 premieres on September 18. Fans were disappointed this year to not see Hardy return as Alfie Solomons in The Immortal Man , the Peaky Blinders spin-off film that dropped on Netflix back in March. Creator Steven Knight confirmed that he tossed around ideas to bring Hardy back, but ultimately settled on leaving him out of the final cut. Hardy has worked with Knight on other non- Peaky Blinders projects in the past, though.
