Widzew Łódź sign Greek midfielder Papanikolaou ahead of season opener

Just hours before their opening match of the 2026/2027 PKO Ekstraklasa season, Widzew Łódź announced the signing of Greek midfielder Giannis Papanikolaou. The player is already known in the Polish top flight, making this a return to the Ekstraklasa. The transfer was completed on matchday itself.
