Laura Maria Plichta crossed the Atlantic by sailing hitchhike over 63 days, joining a yacht crew despite having virtually no prior sailing experience. The journey involved storms, monotony and living in tight quarters with strangers, preceded only by a brief training sail on the Baltic Sea.
