Poland rejects plan to redirect ETS revenues to EU budget in proposed reform

Deputy Climate Minister Krzysztof Bolesta has stated that Poland will not accept a proposed EU ETS reform that would divert part of the revenues from selling carbon emission allowances into the EU budget. The government will also push for a slower phase-out of CO2 allowances from the market. Poland views ETS revenues as national funds that should remain in the country.
