Liverpool began life under manager Andoni Iraola with a 4-2 win over Sunderland. Goals from Kieran Morrison, Dominik Szoboszlai, Federico Chiesa and Lewis Koumas secured the victory. The result was overshadowed by an injury to Joe Gomez.
