No labour code in the US: middle class shrinks as the wealthy get richer
The United States has no federal labour code, meaning employers can dismiss workers on a whim with no right of appeal. Americans work more hours than people in other developed nations yet can afford less. The middle class is steadily shrinking while wealth continues to concentrate among the very richest.
