Chickenpox sweeps Gaza camps — thousands of cases in two weeks

Thousands of chickenpox cases have emerged in Gaza's displacement camps within just two weeks, with doctors warning the true scale of the outbreak is likely far larger. Overcrowding makes isolation impossible, with families of six or more sharing tents of just a few square metres. Thousands of children born during the war were unable to complete their vaccinations, leaving the most vulnerable unprotected.
