Prosecutors appeal acquittal of soldier who fired shots at Belarus border

Polish prosecutors have appealed against the acquittal of soldier Karol S., who was charged with exceeding his powers. In 2024, the serviceman fired 12 shots from his service weapon at the Belarus border where migrants were present. The case centres on whether the use of force in that border situation was lawful.
