France wildfires: Macron pledges rebuilding aid as 200,000 evacuated

President Emmanuel Macron pledged on Saturday that France stands united in the face of devastating wildfires in the southwest of the country, with the state set to fund the reconstruction of all destroyed areas. Around 200,000 people have already been evacuated. A military A400 transport aircraft was deployed to fight the fires for the first time.
