Irvine Welsh: I'd rather be forgotten after I die

Irvine Welsh, author of the cult novel "Trainspotting", told TVN24+ that he became a writer almost by accident — he started writing song lyrics that grew into stories, eventually accumulating enough material for a book. The Scottish author says he would prefer to remain anonymous and be forgotten after his death, wishing no one would waste their time on him once he is gone.
