Ebola returns to eastern Congo — Bundibugyo strain strikes again 20 years on

The Bundibugyo Ebola virus, first discovered in the Ugandan town of Bundibugyo in 2007, has returned in eastern Congo, bringing life to a halt on a busy border crossing. The outbreak has disrupted trade and everyday activity in the local community. Local authorities and health organisations are mobilising to contain the spread of the disease.
