Few directors have more momentum right now than Ryan Coogler , who is fresh off winning the Oscar for Best Original Screenplay for his work penning Sinners , the 2025 vampire horror film that grossed over $370 million at the box office. In addition to Michael B. Jordan winning an Oscar for Best Lead Actor in the film, Sinners also picked up other nominations for Best Picture and Best Directing, but the awards ultimately went to Paul Thomas Anderson ’s One Battle After Another . Coogler is best known for his work directing Marvel’s Black Panther movies, which have been two of the most successful MCU entries to date. Coogler has confirmed that Black Panther 3 will be his next movie, and while details about the film have been kept under wraps, we finally have a real update to be excited about.
