Lord of the Rings Returns: New Release Nov 10, Hunt for Gollum Film in 2027

This has been a great week for Lord of the Rings fans, who have been treated to several new looks at the upcoming season of the Prime Video adaptation, The Rings of Power . The first new image to surface online showed Charlie Vickers as Sauron in The Rings of Power Season 3, which is dropping on November 11, and the second to follow officially revealed Daniel Weyman as Gandalf in the fantasy series. Tolkien fans also have the first live-action movie in years to look forward to, with The Lord of the Rings: The Hunt for Gollum set to be unleashed in theaters on December 17, 2027 — the same day as Avengers: Secret Wars . While most fans thought that Rings of Power Season 3 was the next official LOTR release coming in 2026, there’s something coming later this year that's timed almost perfectly with its premiere.
