Omiword: A New Word Game Inspired by East Asian Fear of the Number Four

Omiword is a new word game whose concept draws on tetraphobia — the cultural fear of the number 4 widespread in China, Japan, Korea and Vietnam, where the word for "four" sounds similar to the word for "death." Buildings in these countries commonly skip the fourth floor, much as Western buildings often omit the thirteenth. The game is available on the publication's website.
