Józef Hulka, 100-year-old folk sculptor from Żywiecczyzna, has died

Józef Hulka, an acclaimed folk sculptor from the Żywiecczyzna region of Poland, has died at the age of 100. His works are held in Polish and European museum collections. In March of this year he was awarded the Gold Medal "Gloria Artis — Meritorious for Culture." The cultural community has described his passing as an enormous loss.
