Boseman family sues widow over estate and likeness rights
Chadwick Boseman's brothers have filed a lawsuit on behalf of his parents, Leroy and Carolyn Boseman, seeking to remove his widow, Taylor Simone Ledward Boseman, as administrator of the estate. The actor died in August 2020 without a will; under California law, 50% of the estate went to his widow and 25% each to his parents. The suit alleges she failed to transfer the family's share of assets and did not account for SAG-AFTRA union payments. The dispute also covers management of Boseman's likeness rights.
