Apple TV+ adapts Neuromancer — cyberpunk classic gets its first live-action look
Apple TV+ has unveiled the first official look at its live-action adaptation of William Gibson's 1984 novel Neuromancer, widely regarded as the defining work of cyberpunk fiction. The book influenced major works including The Matrix and the video game Cyberpunk 2077, yet had never been adapted for screen in over 40 years. This marks the first time the novel — long considered unfilmable — is getting a live-action treatment.
