Ex-EU agriculture chief: Ukraine's EU entry won't blow up the budget

Jerzy Plewa, former Director-General of the European Commission's Agriculture Directorate, told PAP that Ukraine's accession to the EU would not blow up the bloc's budget. He stressed, however, that a reform of the Common Agricultural Policy is a prerequisite for a smooth accession. Without that reform, he said, Ukraine's entry is hard to envisage.
