FFXIV Evercold to overhaul story and combat in the MMO

Square Enix is planning significant changes to Final Fantasy XIV with the upcoming Evercold expansion. Producer Naoki Yoshida announced at the Berlin Fan Fest keynote that main story quests will feature branching narrative paths. Combat is also set to be overhauled, modernising systems that have remained largely unchanged for years.
