Kazakhstan's president tells Putin face-to-face: soldiers dying in Ukraine is "a disgrace"

Kazakh president Kassym-Jomart Tokayev told Vladimir Putin directly at the 22nd Interregional Cooperation Forum in Russia that the conflict should perhaps be frozen and "moved on from". He said he does not understand the reasons for the war's outbreak and called the deaths of soldiers in Ukraine "a disgrace" — a remarkably blunt statement from a close Kremlin ally.
